The aim of “GAMIFICA(C)TION IN YOUTH WORK” is to develop youth workers and educators’ competences in Game design and Game facilitation for educational purposes.
Game Based Learning refers to the application of games for learning purposes, having defined objectives, in an educational context.
Gamification is the introduction of game elements to transform an activity into a game-like process.
In this training course you will acquire the skills to design and facilitate Educational Games and test them on spot, getting feedback to support you in their future applicability.

STRUCTURE OF THE PROJECT

- 2nd PHASE: LOCAL ACTION PHASE
A 3 months Action Phase where participants come back to their local organisations and put in action the gained knowledge and learned excercises and dynamics. They will have the chance to practice and improve their facilitation skills through delivering the educational games created in the TC for their target group. |

THIS TRAINING COURSE IS FOR YOU IF:
- you are actively involved in education and/or youth work
- you want to be able to design, facilitate and debrief an Educational Game
- you are interested in renovating your game toolbox and creating new resources
- you are official resident of Bulgary, Croatia, Cypruss, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Romania or Spain
- you are able to work in English
- you are highly motivated and willing to actively participate during the whole training course and the local action phase

This training course is based on non-formal education and experiential learning, being highly participatory and interactive.
The flow of the program is inspired in the Kolb cycle of Experiential Learning: experience, reflection, conceptualization and applicability.
In “Gamifica(c)tion in Youth Work” you will be the creator of your own experience, guided by the facilitators and supported by the group. Your self-directed individual learning process will take place in a safe space and in a team-oriented and group-supported environment.

TRAINERS/FACILITATORS
BOB SONETBob creates experiential contexts in which meaningful learnings can germinate. He has experience in facilitating projects focused on designing games as learning environments, Contact Improvisation applied in youth work and foundations of facilitating Experiential Learning for educators and youth workers, among others.

JORDAN HERREROSJordan is a learning facilitator who loves creating and facilitating experiential learning programmes for groups of people across Europe. What drives his work is to provide contexts where people can learn and connect. His methods include body expression, game-based learning, participatory leadership and challenge-based learning.

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
Accommodation and food are covered from the 26th of February evening until the 6th of March morning.
We will have meals 3 times a day prepared by our cooks; smaller coffee-breaks will be available during the day.

Alcohol is not allowed in the venue and, in order to allow space for connection with yourself and with the ones around you and for meaningful learnings to happen, we encourage you not to consume alcohol at all during 7-days program.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS
This training course is co-funded by the ERASMUS+ program, therefore accommodation, food, materials, the program and the travel costs up to the maximum allowed amount will be fully reimbursed.
REIMBURSEMENT CONDITIONS
REMEMBER: Accommodation, food and activities costs are entirely covered by the host organization from the 26th of February evening until the 6th of March morning.
